Dr. Martinov is an interventional cardiologist with very broad spectrum of interests and endovacular procedures outside the field of cardiology.
In coronaries: STEMI’s, complex interventions – bifurcation, LM, CTO’s.
In peripheral: mainly PAD – specialised in complex interventions, long occlusions, retrograde approach with more than 100 patients. For calcified lesions, in-stent proliferation he has advanced experience with Jetstream. In other vascular territories: Carotid stenting, subclavian, visceral, renal, etc.
For acute thrombosis – peripheral, coronary, pulmonary and brain he has on site AngioJet, Penumbra and experience in intraarterial thrombolysis. According to profile of the Emergency Hospital Pirogov, his task is to integrate cathlab and solve endovascularly the problems, emergencies and complications of other surgical and trauma departments. There was a very good collaboration and a lot of cases with embolization(bleeding), stenting (damaged vessels after orthopaedic operations), stent grafting (ruptured vessels).
Dr. Martinov’s team is included as a main part of recently opened Stroke center in the hospital, based on their experience and logistics for STEMI. His scientific work is for STEMI after non-cardiac surgery. Very soon it will be presented and published.
Participation in clinical trials: RED-HEFT, Nile PAX trial – co-investigator, Voyager PAD – main investigator (ongoing).
